I have always been kind of a Ryan Newman fan in that I liked seeing him win and grab poles. He was not my favorite but was one of them. But now watching him playing chest bump with Logano it makes me wonder what he is doing. Anybody would know he could pulverize Logano physically and pile driving him on the track almost put Bowyer out of the race.
Any theories out there?

it was a mistake. Ryan had been trying to get around Bowyer for a couple laps being held up by him. Had a run on him coming out of four & think he didnt realize how much slower Logano was while trying to pass Bowyer. I listen to Ryans radio, & as soon as he hit Logano he was wanting his spotter to let him know he was sorry & didnt mean it. I absolutely dont think Ryan was doing it on purpose. It does amaze me though how the commentators can st the tone for what something looks like with what they say. Almost like the type of music that is going on in a movie to set a tone of if something is scary or funny or whatever. If it were another driver they liked, & acted like it was an accident & played the sound bite, it would have projected a different feel. No matter how you slice it though it was Ryans fault & a mistake made by him. Had nothing to do with past run in like the commentators pushed for ppl to believe. Funny though Joey wanted to be mad about it & act like it was on purpose even though Joey was a human torpedo the week before & called just racing hard. Joey tried to wreck Ryan twice later when Ryan lapped him. Even though this time Ryan was at fault, the one thing I cant stand about Joey is he is never at fault (he has probably wrecked more drivers than any other driver this year) & always a victim, where it he was hit on purpose.

I thought the "chest bumping" I was watching on the Hub was after the last race. Now figure it was old tape. So here I am to say I was wrong. Damn I hate saying I am wrong.

That was the race where Logano wrecked Ryan then said Ryan was racing to hard. & went & hunted down Ryan after the race (with TV cameras with him) to confront him. I am telling you Logano is a spoiled punk.

I'll take your word for it. I've never seen it that way. He seemed more like an inexperienced, in-over-his-head, young kid to me.

I got it now but the show on TV that I was watching after the Kentucky race made me think it happened again in KY. 2X with the Bull charge in two weeks made Ryan look bad. But I was wrong and it only happened once. As far as Logano goes....I don't give him a lot of thought. But I do give Newman a lot of thought and want him to look good and perform well. I think he is undervalued at SHR.

Logano's father made him look bad.

Newman lost the US ARMY as a sponsor for 2013.
According to Dillner, Stewart said he would take Kurt Busch as a driver if he brought his own sponsor with him.

Krissie has said when asked about Kurt to SHR to replace Ryan, is that it was just a rumor.
Also if you want to believe SHR tweets. SHR said for the record, they are only trying to negoitate with one driver & one driver only & his name is Ryan Newman.
so take it for what it is worth

It doesn't bother me one bit that the US Army has dropped it's sponsorship from Ryan. I think the National Guard should pull out as a Earnhardt Jr. sponsor also. Sorry, but I don't agree with our tax dollars going towards sponsoring any sporting event. I don't even agree with the fly overs that are done and the millions of tax dollars wasted each year doing this. The money could be put to a much better use somewhere else more important.

I don't agree. I like seeing the military at the races. I liked that Nascar looks to be supporting the military. I like the flyovers and I like the singing of the National Anthem. It all helps add up to the Nascar experience.
Want to save money, fine. There is so much waste of our money you should be able to save plenty without taking away the attention our soldiers get from Nascar.
