The Ref totally sucked! I have seen so many fights in the last year or so with such crappy Refs. What they hell has been going on. Where have all the good Refs gone.

The referee was a guy named Laurence Cole. The TV people really badmouthed him during and after the fight. Cole has a reputation for poor performance as a ref. Apparently his father is some sort of TX commissioner.
What impressed me was the no whining from Lomachenko . Kellerman really tried to get him going on the crappy ref and the kid refused. I think he learned a few lessons and even though he got the shaft has guts and skill. With some weight he will get more power.

BTW the official in the Chavez Jr. fight wasn't that good either. I think all fights should use the ref in the Ward Fight

I pulled tis off of Wikipedia. Mills is 77 years old now.
Lane suffered a debilitating stroke in March 2002 which left him partially paralyzed, and virtually unable to speak.[6] This led to his Celebrity Deathmatch alter-ego being voiced by Chris Edgerly (who played Nick Diamond) for the remainder of the series' run. His adopted city, Reno, celebrated him on December 27, 2004, proclaiming it "Mills Lane Day". In May 2006, Lane made his first public appearance in years at the dedication of a new courthouse which is named after him.
