In 12 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events at the 10-turn, 1.99-mile road course, Newman owns two top-five and five top-10 finishes. He has led 11 laps and completed all 1,327 laps of competition
the RCR driver ranks fifth in most points earned
Ryan is never a threat to win but very consistent at Sonoma

Hey Ryan qualified in the top ten! That has to count for something.

Ryans unbelievably bad luck continued at Sonoma.
Both of his pit stops he was going to make the yellow came out as he was coming to pit road. very same lap both times. WTF!
If he could have pitted he would have restarted in the top 5 (ahead of one Carl Edwards) & instead he restarted p22. So I am happy to see a finish of p11. Also for some good news this race pushes ryan to 8th in points.
Ryans words after the checkers.
the car was much better than where we finished.
