I went to an asphalt winged sprint car race last night in Madera Ca. I haven't seen a show like that in years. Twenty four drivers from the U.S. and Canada in a forty lap main event, on a 1/3rd mile track. They weren't messing around, they completed the forty laps in 8:53. There were super modifieds and midgets too. It was as cold as all get out, but well worth it. Lots of action and no yellow flags, what more could you ask for? I liked it so much, I'm going to the Bakersfield show tomorrow. Twenty dollars was a heck of a price for that kind of racing. I had been waiting since last December for these races, and was not disappointed. A three hour trip one way last night, and a four hour trip one way tomorrow, but it will be well worth the trip.

Except for the cold it sounds like a lot of fun. We have nothing like that around here.
