Engine issues with the #31 and #78 in Daytona practice: #31-Newman experienced an engine failure during the 2nd practice for the Da\ytona 500 on Saturday, some quotes from Newman: THIS PRACTICE SESSION A LITTLE BIT OF WORK FOR YOUR GUYS: Newman: "Something just happened in the bottom end of the motor going into Turn 3. Everything was going as planned until then. The Caterpillar Chevrolet tried to diesel on me and it doesn't like to diesel. We will change the motor, figure out what happened to this one and get ready for tonight with a different race car and qualifying tomorrow." AND #78-Truex Jr.'s Furniture Row Chevy experienced a crack in the oil pan during the second NSCS practice session for the Daytona 500. The team will NOT change the engine.(Team Chevy)(2-14-2015)

Ryan has to replace another engine Will start the 500 in the back! (where he likes it anyways) Man those ECR engines don't suck up worth a crap right now, & now Ryan has to go to I think his 3rd motor. The only ECR car that looks even remotely strong is the 78. Maybe they should go get some notes from them!
