Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will finally make his return from a long layoff and he is looking to prove his doubters wrong in his upcoming fight against Andrzej Fonfara on April 18 at StubHub Center in Carson, California.

at least he finally realized to fight at a much higher weight class. So he can make weight & not be a giant in a small weight class.

Didn't it cost Chavez some purse money to pay the opponent to fight him at his heavier weight? yeah it was like 100k or something. but it was a joke. he was rumored to be around 190 when he fought that guy. GGG I think his people told Chavez it would cost him more than that if he didn't make weight, but I don't think Chavez really ever wanted to fight GGG. Think he was just trying to get his name in some hype after losing some respect from the boxing world. Now after this fight it just shows how lacking he is in skill. (he is horrible) but when you are fighting 3 weight classes higher than the guy your fighting. It is easy to over power them. Now that he has moved up. He should realize he isn't as bad ass as he thought. Oh & let me just add, what a frickin' whiner he is. LOL

I wish I had Showtime just to have seen this. On the same night that Lucas Matthysse and Ruslan Provodnikov went to war in a fight where you could feasibly see either man choosing death over surrender, boxing’s long-reigning poster child for entitlement pulled the “no mas” card and quit on his stool against Andrzej Fonfara. Chavez Jr.’s decision, which could clearly be heard on Showtime’s video replay after the fight, was treated as unforgivable by the thousands of Mexican fans who jammed into the StubHub Center and sent him off with a cascade of boos and flying beer bottles. bleacherreport.com/articles/2435429-its-time-to-give-up-on-julio-cesar-chavez-jr-living-up-to-his-potentialThe article says at the post fight interview he complained that he was winning? After he refused to fight?

After he refused to fight? he was out classed in every way. & his punching power up in the division he belongs in Fonfara could take whiners best punches without worry. The fight should have been stopped. But it should have been stopped by his corner, not him. He had zero chance of hurting Fonfara & no way could he win on points. Once Fonfara dropped him, his corner should have stopped the fight between rounds. Instead he surrounds himself with a bunch of enablers & they were trying to punp him up & he had to quit himself. In fact he had to keep telling them to stop the fight, before they finally did it. Welcome to the big leagues you big ass whiner LOL (the crappy thing is his dad was my favorite fighter all time, & he turns out to be like this)
