Driver standings under old format? How the 2011 driver standings would look if NASCAR had not changed the points system this season:
#99-Carl Edwards - 5,642 #48-Jimmie Johnson - 5,638 (-4) #29-Kevin Harvick - 5,631 (-11) #2-Brad Keselowski - 5,613 (-29) #17-Matt Kenseth - 5,600 (-42) #22-Kurt Busch - 5,591 (-51) #14-Tony Stewart - 5,586 (-66) #18-Kyle Busch - 5,562 (-80) #88-Dale Earnhardt, Jr. - 5,489 (-153) #24-Jeff Gordon - 5,484 (-158) #39-Ryan Newman - 5,453 (-189) #11-Denny Hamlin - 5,370 (-272) (as per Jayski's)http://www.jayski.com/cupnews.htm
Was wondering if you guys read this?
Remember at the first of the season all the interviews and announcers saying quote
"with this new point system it's so hard to make up points"
Doesn't really look like there was to much difference. The only two that are different are Harvick and Johnson are switched.
Not a thing, just putting up some conversation....

I hadn't seen that. Interesting. Would have thought there was a bigger difference. Thanks

Remember we are only four races into the chase, I wouldn't think there would be that big of a difference ... yet. It will be interesting to see what the differences are when its over.

I think the difference may be hidden because of how drivers drove differently while trying to make the chase.
