A tool to check yahoo mail to see if it is not functioning right. Sometimes it is hard to tell if it is my computer, provider or yahoo mail that is acting up. Today has been the worst it ever was and I found this site that I have been watching closely. It really does run the graph that changes slowly during a period of hours. But since I have been watching it all day I can say that it does tell you when the yahoo mail system is up or down. Do NOT bother to call the phone numbers on the site or you will be talking to India to somebody who wants to diagnose your computer. But the graph DOES work. downrightnow.com/yahoomail

GG I checked the site out a couple times the last two days and you are very right about it moving slow. But given time you can see how it does tell you if yahoo mail is working or not. I have heard some complaints about yahoo mail lately. Not as smooth running as it used to be.
BTW I pulled the thread for you per your request.

It was almost all day that it was out for me. Thanks for the site. I will check it out. I just looked at it. Interesting thanks. Did not know they have as many outages as they do. Just short ones today.

With each upgrade Yahoo has forced on us, the performance has decreased imo.

With each upgrade Yahoo has forced on us, the performance has decreased imo. I have noticed that too. They got sophisticated to the point of silliness. I think a lot of it is manipulating the client. Have you noticed that to say no to any of their suggestions has become increasingly hard? For example I won't give them my cellular number and imagine eventually I will loose my e-mail account because of that. What I mean by hard is that the "NO" button is not there or disguised. (remind me later instead of no)

I know exactly what you two are talking about. It worked more smoothly 5 years ago.
