while we are talking about the Anthem. I was always told to face the flag when it plays. & Any race day whenever it starts we come out of our trailers or wherever we are or whatever we are doing we turn & face the flag during the Anthem. Not sure how that originated, but that is what I was always taught, & so does everyone else in the pits. So I assume this is what is meant to be done. Now if this is true, isn't it disrespectful (for promoters TV or whoever) to shoot off fireworks during the Anthem to get people to stare at that instead during the Anthem? Shouldn't they shoot them off afterwards? (not during?)

I think they try to coordinate it with "Bombs Bursting In Air" but you are right it is probably not totally correct procedure.

The one warble I saw during the anthem was Keselowski goofing off and laughing with someone while she was singing.
Take your hat off, face the flag, and put your hand on your heart. That's all.
